Departure for visit two of the most important museums in Lima: Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum and Gold Museum. The Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum (Museo Arqueológico Rafael Larco Herrera), founded in 1926, is the world's largest private collection of pre-Columbian art; with an astonishing array of gold, silver, semi-precious stones and textiles. The collection's predominant strength is in Mochica ceramics, from the north coast of Peru, of which the erotic ones are the most famous. Their notoriety ought not to obscure the fact that the museum presents a complete view of the cultural development of ancient Peru through a selection of its 45,000 pieces, housed in a colonial building of the 18th century. Continue the visit to the privately-operated Gold of Peru Museum (Museo de Oro del Perú); gold, ceramic and textile masterpieces form the most magnificent collection of ancient Peruvian art in the world, treasures little-known and rarely exhibited outside the country. Objects include monumental necklaces, funerary masks, scepters, ceremonial cups, tumis (sacrificial knives), nose rings, earrings and idols, all fashioned of sumptuous gold and semi-precious stones. The downstairs vault features the gold artifacts. The second floor gallery contains marvelous ceramics and textiles and the annex gallery (behind the main building) features textiles and feather mantos of unbelievable quality.

City tour : Colonial and Modern Lima

Nazca Lines including lunch

Early transfer to Jorge Chavez International airport to take a direct flight to Ica to the private aerodrome of AEROCONDOR. (subject to weather conditions). Upon arrival, change to a CESSNA Airplane for a better view. Fly over the Nazca Lines for 1 hour. They form drawings of birds, spiders, fishes, a monkey and even a few unidentifiable creatures. What are these mysterious line formations of gigantic figures and who made them? Their shape could only truly be photographs of the region being incredibly dramatic. Are they merely huge figures or could they be extraterrestrial landing fields? After the flight, visit to The Regional Museum of Ica, one of the best regional museums in the country, even though it is small it holds a variety of archeological pieces such as pottery and textiles from the Nazca and Paracas cultures that developed in the area. Also exhibits colonial and other historic artifacts. Continue to Huacahina Lagoon located 3 miles away from the city, is a small resort village surrounded by huge sand dunes and palm trees. A very inviting place to relax. This oasis scenery resembles that of a mirage. The warm deep green waters of the lagoon have medicinal properties. Lunch at Las Dunas Hotel, where you will be able to enjoy the facilities of this famous hotel. Afternoon return by plane to Lima.
